ABOUT ANINAG
A three-day festival that invites you to experience art, music, and community through immersive installations, live performances, and creative workshops.
Set against the backdrop of Siquijor's pristine beaches and mystical mountains, Aninag brings together artists, musicians, healers, and seekers from around the world for three days of creative exploration and human connection.
The Meaning of "Aninag"
In the local Visayan dialect, "Aninag" refers to the gentle glow of light filtering through—like sunlight through leaves, or the first rays of dawn breaking over the ocean. It represents clarity, awakening, and the illumination that comes from within.
Siquijor Island
Known as the "Island of Fire" for the mystical bioluminescent glow seen by Spanish colonizers, Siquijor has long been associated with healing traditions and natural magic. The island's folk healers, or "mananambal," continue ancient practices that blend herbal medicine with spiritual rituals.
Today, Siquijor is a sanctuary for those seeking connection—with nature, with community, and with themselves. Aninag Festival celebrates this spirit of the island.
