Short on time? This one-day Siquijor itinerary covers the must-see attractions in a single day trip from Dumaguete. Complete with ferry schedules and tips.

Can You Do Siquijor in One Day?

Yes! While staying overnight is ideal, a day trip from Dumaguete is absolutely doable. You'll see 4-5 major attractions if you start early and plan efficiently.

Key requirements:

  • Take the earliest ferry (6:00 AM from Dumaguete)
  • Rent a motorbike or hire a tricycle for the day
  • Prioritize the attractions you most want to see

Day Trip Schedule

6:00 AM - Ferry from Dumaguete

Take Ocean Jet or Montenegro Shipping from Dumaguete Port. Journey takes about 1 hour.

7:30 AM - Arrival & Motorbike Rental

Rent a motorbike right at the port (₱400-500/day). You'll need an international license or local license.

8:00 AM - Cambugahay Falls

First stop: the island's most famous waterfall. Spend 1.5-2 hours swimming and enjoying the rope swings.

10:30 AM - Century-Old Balete Tree

Quick stop for photos and the unique fish spa experience (30 minutes).

11:30 AM - Lazi Church

Visit the historic church and take photos of the impressive Spanish colonial architecture (30 minutes).

12:00 PM - Lunch in Lazi

Enjoy local Filipino food at one of the nearby eateries (1 hour).

1:30 PM - Salagdoong Beach

Afternoon at the beach with cliff jumping. Spend 2-3 hours here.

4:30 PM - Return to Port

Head back to the port for the 5:30 PM ferry to Dumaguete.

  • Bring cash - very few ATMs on the island
  • Pack light - just essentials for the day
  • Wear swimwear under clothes - saves time changing
  • Start with Cambugahay - it gets crowded after 10 AM
